MS Daily Announcements



The 8th grade football team lost a hard fought game to Hillsdale last night 34-30.  Their record drops to 4-2 overall and 4-1 in the WCAL.  The 7th grade team beat Hillsdale last night 20-0.  The teams will travel to Apple Creek for a game with John R Lea next Thursday.   

Be sure to check out the bulletin board in the cafeteria for the update of Spirit Points.  The 8th graders have a very slim lead over the 6th graders, and the 7th graders aren't' too far behind.   

There will be a Tech Team meeting during 5c in the art room on Monday.   

We will be starting a grief group for any students who have experienced grief and would like to talk about how to cope with loss.  Please see Mrs. Beun for information.  Group will begin October 21 over 5th period. 

We will be starting an Anger Management group on Thursdays for any students who would like to learn how to handle feelings and behaviors associated with anger.  Please see Mrs. Beun for more information. 

This week’s Future Fridays speaker will be Kendra Young from Time Staffing.  She will be explaining how to land a job and describing what employers are looking for in employees. 

Calling all robot enthusiasts!  Club Robot begins 2nd quarter and will run through the remainder of the school year.  If you are in 8th grade and are interested in joining the group fill out an application and submit to Mr. Kimmich no later than Monday, October 19.  Club Robot will officially meet as a group on Fridays during 5th period.  Applications will be available in the office and in Mr. Kimmich's laboratory.  Hope to see you there! 

The PTO fundraiser pickup will be on Wednesday, Oct. 14 in the cafeteria from 2:15-3:45. 

Lifetouch will be here on Thursday, Oct. 15 during 5th period to do picture re-takes.  Order forms are in the Information Rack and in the office. 

The next Student Council meeting will be Monday, October 19th during 5c. 

Cheerleading try-outs for basketball season will take place from Monday, October 19 through Thursday, October 22. Clinics will last from 2:45 until 4pm Monday through Wednesday. Try-outs will begin at 3pm on Thursday. Please sign-up in the office if you are going to be trying out and stop by Miss Stoneman's room.  

The Junior Class Parents have started taking clothing orders for their annual Post Prom fundraiser.  Order forms can be found in the Information Rack.  All orders are due by November 13 for Christmas delivery. 

It's time to start thinking snow! The Northwestern Bad Dog Boarders and Ski Club is open for member registration. Get your application from the Information Rack. Contact the club advisor, Mrs. White, if you have any questions.  There are NO seats left on the charter bus transportation.
