New! Fundraiser @ The Oaks New!

July 2, 2014

In less than a months time, so much has happened for the Kasubienski family. Last Friday we moved them to brand new apartments in Wooster. A builder heard of their loss and has already met with the family and designed a new home for them. The old house was demolished last week and they are hoping the basement will be started soon. Due to the circumstances, the builder is trying to fast track the building. They are hoping to be in their new home by the first part of October. So many came together to donate and help, amazing to see our community come together in this way. The Kasubienski family is so thankful and just can't say it enough. They are such a wonderful family and have been so awesome to work with. We are asking for items to be donated for gift baskets to be raffled at the benefit dinner. If you would like to donate or help put baskets together, we could really use help. Here is a list of current baskets:

Golf / cart and greens fees

Vera Bradley

Tastefully Simple

Girls summer

Boys summer

Ice cream

Smith Dairy

The Oaks wine basket

The Barn Basket

If you would like to add to any of these baskets or have a basket idea, please let me know. We are in need of donations.

Please come meet the Kasubienski family at the benefit dinner on August 3rd at The Oaks Lakeside. Click the link above the update for dinner information

Thank you so much!

Good morning everyone! Happy and sad news to report. After much searching and thinking that perhaps one of the family pets, Pacco, may have gotten out of the house during the fire, it was discovered that he did perish in the fire. The family had been so hopeful.

As of Friday June 13th the family has received approximately $4,500.00 in monetary and gift card donations from our community. (Several amounts were in sealed envelopes and I couldn't count those amounts in the total) A builder heard of the fire and met with the family this past weekend. Due to the circumstances, they are willing to start building for the family as soon as everything is cleared with the insurance and permits are secured. What a blessing for the Kasubienski's.

They have asked that I please let everyone know how very thankful they are for all of the help and support during this past week. Vivian said thank you just doesn't even begin to cover it. They are just amazed with the outpouring of donations. We also have a person willing to donate a storage unit as soon as one becomes available. I have a long list of people with furniture and household items they would like to donate, so hopefully within two weeks we will be able to rally trucks and trailers to pick up items.

Again, thank you all so much.
