Important Notice relative to dropping high school students off before school
Written by Mike Burkholder
Wednesday, 15 October 2014

To facilitate a safe and efficient drop off process we are making some revisions and/or working to communicate the associated policies.

·         All traffic, buses and other vehicles that are dropping off students in front of the high school must travel in one direction – south to north.

·         If you are dropping your child off and you are stopped prior to getting to the doors, due to the vehicles in front of you, please have your child get out at that point and walk to the entrance. This will increase the efficiency of the drop off. Many of the buses are doing this, as well.

·         To keep things as safe as possible, vehicles that enter the staff parking lot will not be able to exit from the north side.

·         We will be adding and adjusting stop signs at the intersection between the main entrance and the drive that goes in front of the school. Please pay attention to the signs, as we will be studying the traffic flow for a three way and a four way stop. As always, the buses will have the right of way and all vehicles must yield to the buses so that we can keep them on their schedule.

·         If you choose to drop off your child in the student parking lot you may continue doing so. Please keep in mind that wherever you drop off of your child we need to be able to do so in a safe and efficient manner.

If you have any questions or need clarification, please let me know.
